I'm thinking I need to get myself some yellow spark plug wires to dress up my engine compartment. However, I've heard that the OEM wires are better than aftermarket in some cases. (My car is a 2000 Teg LS) My question is, first off, should I get aftermarket wires, and secondly, if I do, what brand should I buy?

 

NGK. NGK and Honda wire are the same thing.

im thinking you have it wrong NGK makes the plugs not the wires, thats from what ive been told, but i can be wrong, anywho i say go with NGK or OEM wires

well my wires say sumitomo on them or something like that. I don't think stock wires are ngk. I don't know though. Maybe they once were.

Hmmm. Am I the only one here using Accel 8mm wires? They're yellow...ooohh!


Are the NGKs superior to the Accels? I know they're a lot much $$$ then what I bought my yellows for.
Oh and by the way, BE CAREFUL on your application. When I had my swap done, aparently the shop that did the swap put my B18A wires on my new B16. It never ran right until I changed the wires to B18C Vtec wires. I never thought the wires were to blame.
