Default Spark plug problem.

1998 LS

Story:

Engine was rebuilt by me, my dad (mechanic) and the service manual.
New Piston Rings
New Connecting Rod Bearings
New Head Gasket
Head was sent to machine shop for valve job and hot tank
New Cap and Rotor
NEW SPARK PLUGS. NGK V-Power gapped @ .044

oil flushed at 1000 miles and replaced with 5w30 full syn
car runs 91 octane

after about 3000 miles engine started having poor cold starts. It was misfiring. I thought it was an idle problem so i replaced the IACV. Didnt seem to help. Today I removed my spark plugs and noticed that all four were FOUL. I replaced them and it solved my problems..

anyone know what/why the spark plug looks like this after only 3000 miles?
