something broke.
last nite in jersey it was 0 degrees out and i was on my way home from work and all of a sudden my exhaust got twice as loud and it was a droning noise.
now i already had a hole in my exhaust right before the muffler. the weld that connects the axle back piping to the muffler was broken halfway around the pipe when i got the car. i was planning on getting new cat-back exhaust anyway but i was wondering what this could be.
i haven't gotten a chance to look at it yet since its snowing and freezing out but could it just be that the muffler has separated even more from the pipe?

I'd be willing to bet that is exactly what happened. When you get time, check it out.
