alright. im fixing to buy an intake manifold for my db8. i have read topics on putting intake manifolds on...and i some people say everything bolts up and you can use all your stock components (throttle cable and what not)....so i am just trying to get one answer here...if i buy an intake manifold do i have to get other stuff?

Assuming you are talking about the ITR ripoffs, then yes and no. You need to and are suppose to, however alot of people "make" the stock stuff work. Generally the stock gsr throttle cable and mount will rub the hood, but not always. Just invest another $20 in getting the itr cable and bracket.

 

im thining about getting the blox one. and using the stock throttle body until i can afford one

 

you CAN use the stock gsr bracket and cable, i'm using it. however, the clearance issue is crap, but it's do-able.

if you want to fix this then you'll need the itr bracket and cable. then ofcourse you'll need new IM gasket and TB gasket.
