Current engine setup: Stock LS with minor bolt ons.

Money: Not an issue but building over time (6 months)


I am not that savvy with the LS motor completely.

I currently have an LS motor with 125K miles on it.
I am planning on purchasing another LS motor on the side to work on it out of the car.

I want some input on what im thinking about doing, because I am not that smart in this area just yet. I am some what interested in LSVTEC, however I do not know if its needed or worth it. I am defiently interested in a supercharger.

I am basically looking for the best bang for my money.
I understand the LS motor has a lot of potential and is cheap.
From what I understand, the transmission takes well to FI.
Would you guys recommend going with a new transmission?

If i spend an intial amount of money on this setup, but yet can get better with another setup.....I would much rather wait.

In your opinion, what is the best way to go with an LS in mind? I am interested in FI 100%, mainly SC as i stated.

By spending the money I may need to spend, in your opinion is it worth it?


This is just an idea to throw some things into my mind to consider.

turbo instead

same cost but much better results. get a b16 tranny for now. it'll make the biggest difference until you boost.

 

the b16 transmission will handle much more better than the LS?
