smoking question??
ok first off i have a 99 gsr i know the intake valves on my number 1 cylinder need to be replaced but my question is when i get into vtec it smokes pretty bad. but if im not in vtec and floor it it doesn't smoke. why is that? and are the valve guides apart of the head or can they be replaced?

Yes, they can be replaced.
Don't quote me, but it probably smokes worse in vtec,
because possibly the problem is only in the Head.

yea the problem is in the head. i did a leakage test and its coming from the intake valves on number 1. so that would be the whole problem for smoking so bad in vtec?
are we able to change the valve seats or no?

Should be able to easily, I think that's the part people usually replace with a brass piece,
I'm not exactly sure but, I'm a lot more sure about it being a replaceable part.
It's not something that's "attached" to the head.
