Skunk2 Coilover install question?
Ok well we tried to install my Skunk2 Coilovers and KYB AGXs today but we didn't get too far. We broke both lower shock bolts in the rear. We tried and impact gun with 350lb/ft of torque and the bolts didn't even budge. The bushings just absorbed the impact instead. So we took a sawwzall to the shock but now the bolt is stuck iin the bushing. I'll be spending tommorrow trying to drill it out. If not I'll be buying new control arms since the bushings come pressed in them already.
Anyways my questions is I put the threaded sleeve around the shock and secured it with the o-rings. Now I've got the adjustment at the highest and the springs still don't reach the top of the shock cap. Is this normal? I'm assuming the car's weight will push the shock down but what about when i hit a bump and the shock rebounds? Won't the cap move up higher than the spring and slap back down on it? Thanks!

that gap between the spring and strut cap is normal. when u lower the car off the jack it will come down and the springs will line up fine with the cap. if u go over a bump the car wont bounce enough to make the car and cap come up off the springs, unless you're doing some rally racing, but i doubt that'll be the case. hope that helps. and by the way, i'm runnin Skunk2's on AGX's and i like them a lot, u will too.
When you installed yours which part of the bump stop did you use? I cut mine in half but one end is larger than the other. Which one did you use?
