Default shocks and coilover installation help ...

hey guys i need some mechanics help here is there anyone here from socal can help me out put my new shocks and coilovers? im from cerritos and i need to replace my blown shocks ill pay for lunch and beers for those peep who help me out...if there no one can help me can anyone just post the pictures step by step or thet diagram how to do it.. thanks in advance guys..

go on teamintegra they have an article on this

its pretty easy once u do it

pretty much jack up ur car on both sides
remove wheel
take out 2 bolts that are holding the brake lines
move the brake lines out of the way
unscrew the 2 nuts in engine bay holding the strut on
unscrew the huge bolt on the bottom 17
go back into the wheelwell and push down on the rotor, and wiggle the strut out

once u have it out
get an allen wrench and a wrench and unscrew the top

u'll need a spring compressor unless u want to get hutr then just aim it at a building or something...but be prepared for a huge shot as the spring \blows the top


then just replace the shock and the spring with new stuff and reassemble...def reccomend another person cuz putting the strut back into place is a bitch

its best if you use an air compressor tool..it makes things so much easier, i tryed taken the bolt off with a wrench and..it sucks ***

god yes....if u can get an air compressor it makes it a gazillion times easier.

The main bolt is a pain in the *** otherwise + u can take off the top of the strut bazillion times faster

when were you planning to do it?
Im in torrance, and was planning to do coilovers for my teg and an is300 within the month or so. The date isnt quite set, for we dont have our beloved coilovers yet (still shopping for a great price)
