Default In a shitty situation.

My head gasket for 95 ls integra blew up and I’m new to cars how screwed am I? My options are A: sale as is. B: do it myself or at home. C: bring it to a shop. I’ve been through a lot with this car and want to sell it. I got this car for reliability and got none of that I’m borderline just grabbing a hammer and smashing everything on this car. Is it normal for every project car to be this dog ****. Horrible first car experience. I probably have the worst first car experience here now lol. I’m just thinking bout quitting in general man.

Just sell it and move on. No need to destroy it

You said "Project Car"... which means that you got a deal on a car that someone else was sick of dealing with. You now have two choices: See it through and MAKE IT a reliable form of transportation, or give up and sell it off to the next "sucker".

Why not just learn to work on it, since that is what a project car is…it’s a project.

most people don’t know how to work on cars and give up after a day of trying to figure it out. I personally knew someone who sold his 4dr Integra because he couldn’t swap out the busted axle. New owner had to tow it out of his yard

if youve never worked on cars or dont have a lot of information/know how, then id just sell it. doing a head gasket at home would be very daunting for a noobie, also a shop will charge you an arm and a leg to have it replaced.

or, pull the motor yourself and swap it. a project car is just that. aches and pains, headaches and smiles. have fun!
