Default Shiftpoint Miss/Grind

I have a 01' Integra GSR, it has 80,000 miles on it , Tranny feels almost pefect , nice and crisp shifting . I can take my car to about 7.5-7.7 and shift into second perfect no problem , but if i try it at 8, right on shiftpoint , it will grind and ill missrev. Im thinking synchro's but i just want some second opinions.

Most likely, mine was doing that going into 3rd gear if I revved that high. Try redline synthetic tranny oil. That basically solved the problem altogether for mine for like 3 years in my gsr. Since I am rebuilding my engine right now I am working having the tranny done as well. That may help the problem a lot in your car, especially if it is only grinding up that high in the rpms.

I would say synchromesh, helped every single problem I've seen in a transmission... Synchromesh with Friction Modifier try that first before anything drastic...
