Default Seats.....

Hey,
I am planning on buying a pair of Tom Motorsport Bride (knockoff) seats and I wanted to know where I am supposed to mount the female end of the seat belt. Also what should I use to mount the seats to the floor. They come with sliders but I am not too sure what to do for feet. Anyway any info/pics you can give would be awsome. Thanks,

Ben

I wouldn't use the sliders that the seats come with. They're very shitty in quality. I ended up buying Sparco sliders and brackets to put them in my 98 2dr. The Sparco bracket has a tab on it where you will mount the stock seatbelt or a harness.

But to get the Sparco parts to work I had to drill a couple new holes.

I bought some knock off seats and had to get WeaponR brackets to mount them. Used the sliders that came with the seats, cheap but they work fine. I made a custom mount for the seatbelts because the aftermarket brackets held them too close to the e-brake console.

Thanks for the info. Do you have some pics of where you mounted the belt? Just as I want to get an idea of what I will need to do. And also if you have the part # handy that would be awsome. Thanks,

Ben

Sorry, I don't have any pics right now. I drive a DA so the part number would be different than yours, I'm assuming you have a G3?

^^^Yeah. I checked out Sparco's website though and I believe I found the right thing. Is it the flat mount kit with sliders?

I believe this is incorrect. I don't think Sparco has any sort of seat rail that has an attachment for the stock seatbelt (at least not for any Honda). The only company that does this right now (outside of custom made ones) is called Wedge. Sparco distributes this Wedge bracket, so some people think it is Sparco when it is not.

Wedge has a piece on the rail where it sticks up where you can bolt your female end of the belt. Sparco does not.

Well, I ordered a pair of Sparco brackets and they have the tabs. 2 people I know with WRX's had Sparco brackets with tabs and an ITR owner has twin Sparco seats with brackets that have tabs . It's just a metal piece with a hole. Use any bolt and washer to hold the buckle to it.

Weird.

Just FYI: The Wedge brackets that Sparco sells have a Sparco sticker on them.

Then there is a good chance that they are Wedge. But since I got them as Sparco, I'll call them that lol

I contacted Sparco a while back and their brackets have spots to mount the stock belts. Weapon R does also, as well as some others. I'm not sure about corbeau though.
