scratching gears
For some reason lately i been having problems hitting my gears without scratching. No matter how hard i try, i will atleast scratch 4th gear. Dpes anyone know what this can be due to?
It sounds like a synchro grind and its probably due to missing a few shifts or not knowing how to drive. Try changing your tranny fluid. And if that doesnt work your synchro is damaged. It may wear itself out over time if its minor.
Yep, defineately sounds like synchros. I would highly recomend picking up some GM Syncromesh tranny fluid, from your local GM dealer. A number of folks from this board (including myself), have had excellent results with it clearing up little zips into gears.
yea its a 94 JDM swap that i just got so i dont think the tranny fluid every been cleaned. But i dont have no problems driving normal, just when im racing or somthing. But like the other guy said, maybe i just cant drive
