Default Rust prevention

Little concerned about rust because my last integra was rusted out. What can I do to prevent it, getting painted soon. Was thinking of undercoating rear wheel wells, and spare tire compartment, and frame rails with the spray can undercoating? Good, bad? suggestions? Thanks

Pull off the plastic rocker panels and rear wheel well edge protectors. Start rust proofing those after they're thoroughly cleaned/descaled. Rear trailing arm mounts to body areas/wheel wells. Rear subframe and don't forget under battery tray up front and check front door jambs/hinge areas.

I just use a wire-wheel on a drill/grinder and get rid of any build-up. There's a number of rust proofing agents @ auto store. I don't know that any are better than the rest. I just spray a couple of heavy coats of gloss black krylon After I've cleaned/removed the crusties off. If you pull the plastic rockers be careful not to overtighten fasteners when assembling- they strip very easily.

Get some LPS 3 and spray the crap out of those areas from time to time, also take out the interior panels and spay the lowest parts inside the doors and inside the inner wheel wells rust often starts on the inside, this stuff is good enough for float plane owners to use it to stop fusealage rust in salt water areas

RustBullet... http://www.rustbullet.com/?source=ad...FY9eQgodjwsA4g

As mentioned rear wheel arch protectors, they are the most common cause of rusting on Integras, remove them and toss them, [DO NOT reinstall them]. 94

POR 15!!!!
I believe that the best solution to prevent rust, like stated above grab a wire wheel and once you get down to metal, put that POR 15 on, it does not have UV protection, so it has to have something over it if its going to be exposed to sunlight.. it can be sanded and be painted over it
