i have a 94 integra.i have full skunk2 coilovers on it.it drives fine until i hit a bump it slams like its on stock cut springs.any ideas?mayb new springs?

You might want to try asking this question in the suspension forum. What did you set the pre-load at? Can you adjust the spring rate?

 

When you say full coilovers, you mean w/ the struts? Or you have the coilover spring w/ perch and separate struts... are you running bump stops?

 

its the skunk2 pro s seires full coilovers..iam asuming its the ones with the struts..i have no bump stops...mayb thats my problem??

 

did you install them yourself?

 

mines rides like that but not that hard! i have the same ones. like on ramps mines will hit hard but not so hard like a car with dead shocks going 60 onto a bumpy ramp! just not as smooth as stock but rides smooth over all besides that.

 

i don't think i'm running any bump stops either on mines from the last time i could remember looking at them..

 

they came on the car when i got it...its drives fine when driving normal just when i go over bumps its like that..

 

My PICs are fine till I hit a bump, it's because of the spring rates.

Your Skunk2's should have adjustable damping.

 

i did adjust them..i raised it 1/2".still slams on bumps mayb bump stops r need?

 

If they are a full coil over the should have bump stops built in.

 

no they werent in there..maybe someone took them out?

 

Did you replace your shocks?

 

the coilovers are like brand new..i dont think i need to change them yet..

 

i think ur just bottoming out.mine does that all the time on rough bumps
