Rolling Forward your Odometer?
Well, I am thinking about getting a JDM cluster. Most clusters I see have 30k on them. I don't know if this is unlawful or not, and I am not looking to get into any trouble or anything on this forum. Just want to know. My car has 90k on it. It is possible to roll it forward TOO 90k from 30k? is it illegal? Thanks!!

if its possible to roll back, im sure u can forward it, its only illegal if you submit the wrong mileage to the dmv. like if u told them it was 100k miles one year, then next year its 50,000, they would jsut record that in their system and prob send you a notice, but if someone were to car fax your car, it would show up as ODO ROLL BACK. which is

Correct. It's ok to switch your cluster as long as you keep record of your mileage for smog and sale of vehicle.

The JDM gauge cluster is only graduated to 190 KPH wich is around 118 MPH. The US one, as you know is graduated to 140 MPH. Sooooo: the calibration of the two gauges is actually different. and putting the gauge face from one onto the other would give erroneous readings. So lets say you're doin 200 kph(=124) but you have the US gauge face on there it would be reading at around 145 MPH. Another reason to NOT use the non-ITR items is b/c the fonts are different between ITR and non-ITR clusters. Also the amber color of ITR gauges comes from the gauge face, not from amber light bulbs.
