i hand tightened the clutch bolts. then i put the tranny on until it sat flush up to the block. i then tightened one bolt through the starter hole. i pulled the tranny back off and tightened the rest of the bolts up. when i reinstalled the tranny it went in with no problem. i read on a thread that once the tranny goes all the way in that it is aligned right. is this correct?
