When I punch in reverse it makes werid noise and seems like its grinding. Could it be the transmission grinding or its just the clutch because i am in need of a new clutch also..thanks

 

mine clicks in a way...dont know bout grinding...

 

one of the many funny things about integras, reverse, dont worry about it, just make sure its in gear when you back up

 

most of our cars will kind of whine when going in reverse, but grinding is a different story. Could be the tranny

 

hmmm, if its a whining noise, its the gear. All reverse gears are straight cut instead of helical cut, so it whines.

If your clutch is on the way out, it might not be disengaging completely. Regardless of the condition of your clutch, Honda recommends double-clutching to reverse from any forward gear. You also have to be at a complete stop. Just take your time; reverse doesn't like to be rushed.

yea sound like you didnt put the gears all the way into reverse, just pump the clutch again and make sure it goes in all the way
