Reverse ligth problem
You need new light bulbs?...
On top of that, if the bulbs are good, then it could be wiring. But before you go ripping out wiring and killing yourself, replace the reverse light switch with a KNOWN working one. Its a push button switch thats located on the tranny. Becareful when you remove it, mine was near the bottom of my gsr tranny and when I took it out, oil started coming out from the tranny. I had to clean the mess up and replace the fluid. If it's not that, then it's wiring somewhere.

They came out with silverstars reverse lights if you feel like trying those they are a bit more brighter than the regular ones. But make sure to tell them if your model is manual or automatic so they give you the right ones. The guy made a mistake and didn't ask me so I got the wrong ones on the first try.

How would the transmission type affect the reverse light selection?

It sounds like snake oil to me. Sylvania's site lists only an 1156 and 1156LL (long life bulbs) for a 2001 Integra coupe. As expected, no transmission type is listed.
