I will be replacing the entire carpet on my 98 ls, and I was wondering will I need to use glue or some sort of adhesive to make the new carpet stick?? If any of you guys have done this and have any best practices, please let me know. Thanks.

 

i haven't replaced a teg's carpet, but i had to use a special glue on the carpet kit i installed on an old VW, so i'd imagine its the same.

 

My carpet did not come with glue...would you happen to know the name of it?

 

there's no glue to hold it down. thats why they mold it. so its stays put.

 

There's no glue holding the factory carpet in, unless you're using some sort of aftermarket carpet, there's no reason to use glue for a factory carpet. Even then, I don't think you'd need glue for an aftermarket...just my guess though.
