Go to the dealer with your ownership. They can call up the vehicle in their system and order you a new key.

If you hate dealers, remove the ignition lock cylinder and bring it -- and your ownership -- to a locksmith, who will be able to cut you a new key. This may be more expensive than the dealer.

If they still have your VIN in the system, the 4-digit key number may still be recorded. It's worth a try; Honda usually hangs on to stuff like that.

It's been ages since I looked at an ignition cylinder, but the 4-digit number might be on that as well. This would mean it wouldn't matter if Honda still had that information or not.

remove the door handle. it's easier than ign. lock cyl.
but call honda first with the vin. as mentioned, they may have it in the system.
i just went through the same deal on my rx7. it's 87 and mazda still had the code logged.
i just ended up going to an independent locksmith though. wasn't certain the code would be correct, so i just pulled the passenger door handle where the code was stamped on the tumbler. brought it to locksmith, they cut it in 2 minutes. 22$ for 2 keys

Good way to steal a car... If that guy didn't know you personally and very familiarly, he'd need a good beating.

Like others have said, take your VIN, proof of ownership (title), and ID to a dealer and they can usually cut a new key for you. If you take your own key blank it may also be cheaper. This will only work if your car has the original locks. It's been a while but I took my own blank to my local dealer and iirc they charged me $7 to cut it from the VIN.
