Default Replacement Fuel Filter.

I would like to replace my Fuel Filter. Should I just replace the filter? or get an AEM filter? what does the AEM filter do anyway?REason Why i thought about replacing with the aem one is for looks too. My whole engine bay has salt marks all over it, because it was from salt lake NJ, then to NY, where I bought it from acura

i just used the purolator fuel filter from Pep boys it was like $20.. I didn't have time to go to the dealer and wasn't about to pay AEM prices... my car has been fine since (over a year ago) w/ the purolator fuel filter..

the AEM one uses a fram filter anyway. im sure the filter elemnt isnt better from acura, they all are prolly the same
im just sayin to make my engine bay look nice, and the same time do the filter

i guess if your cool w/ shelling out like $100 for the look/a colored fuel filter case.. i'd rather spend $20 on a filter and $80 on sumthing else... yeah its re-usable.. but u'd still have to spend money to buy the replacement filter elements.. so ur basically paying for the paint/AEM logo, and the filter casing.. if its worth it to u coo.. they use fram or napa internals/filters..

heres a quote:
Hi-Performance Fuel Filters

AEM now introduces a performance replacement for the OE Honda fuel filter. It is designed to fit in the factory location utilizing the stock fuel lines. The filter assembly will flow enough fuel to support up to 500 Horsepower. It uses a replaceable FRAM (CH6069) or NAPA (4950) filter element so it is totally reusable.

Hi-Performance Fuel filter - (94-00 Integra, 94-97 Accord 4cyl, 92-00 Civic, 95-97 Del Sol, 97-00 Prelude) $99

http://www.lightningmotorsports.com/aem_fuel.htm

I just searched "integra AEM fuel filter" and clicked the first hit/result... not sure if u can find it for less or whatever...

Just get the OEM. Installation is fast. Just remove the banjo bolt on top, and the bolt on the bottom. Have rags handy to catch the gas Remove the filter from the carrier and reinstall. Afterwards, turn the key to the run position so the pump will start up. Check for leaks.

Nothing beats OEM.
Imitation can be the the greatest form

don't you think it'll stick out like a sore thumb amongst you "salt covered" engine bay? No matter how shitty something is, you gotta keep it matching.

My thoughts exactly!!

Where did you guys get an OEM filter for $7? I got mine from A&H and it think it was like $17 or something.
