I was using a GSR ECU, and was getting 3 trouble codes, I replaced the ECU with the correct LS ECU, now the trouble codes are gone! Does that mean the ECU was defective or will I still have to replace the Distributor!

 

if your ecu codes are gone with the correct ecu, I wouldnt worry about fixing anything. The gsr ecu was probably not defective, since it was looking for the iabs, vtec solenoid, and whatever else the gsr has that the LS doesnt.

 

IF THE CAR IS WORKING GOOD WITH ECU LEAVE IT ALONE. THE GSR ECU IS LOOKING FOR THE KNOCK SENSOR, IAB SENSOR, V-TEC PRESSURE SWITCH AND V-TEC. THOSE ARE THE CODES THAT MAY HAVE BEEN THROWING.
