REGRET?!?!
Hello all. I am new to Honda's. My buddy is die hard hem enthusiast and pretty much the entire time we were in Japan he had an erection from all the different Hondas. just got back from deployment and thought I had gotten a good deal on my 2000 Integra. However while planning out all the stuff I was going to do, I failed to notice my window doesn't go down. I'm 99.9 percent sure its the switch (feels loose compared to passenger side of master switch). Tonite on the way back from the Suns game the sunroof wasnt cooperating right and took several tries to get it closed. It almost feels like a bad switch cause it will work one second, next second its dead. Also the motor doesn't really stutter....any thoughts to help this noob?
Bad power window and sun roof switches are a common problem, you can sometimes "open" them up and clean the contacts, but a trip to your local bone yard, PicknPull is probably in order.
The sun roof may also be a relay problem, not really repairable, needs to be replaced, but I would try cleaning the switch first.
To confirm or eliminate the window switch as the problem, yo can use a simple 12V test light, access the window motor, [remove door panel] inplug the power window motor harness, [at the motor] connect the test light to the red/blue and red/yellow leads, test light ground clip to one lead and test light probe to the other lead, [in makes no diff which way you do it], turn the ign. on and rock the switch, the test light should turn on in both directions, if not, use the test light to check for power on the white/yellow lead at the switch plug. if there is power the switch is bad, if no power, check the fuse, if fuse is good, check for broken lead(s) in the drivers door jamb boot, [also a common problem. 94
