im referring to the very first skunk2 *****...not the new darker ones. is there a recall on these since i hear they are defective? and what i mean by defective is that the finish on them wears out after a few months of driving? can i mail in my old **** for a new one?

yeah... the finish on mine wore out. its all shitty now. where did you here about the recall? i want to send mine out for a new one.

 

i heard about the recall through a friend..and when i saw the new **** at inlinefour....the guy there said i may be able to send in my old one and get one of their new designs...i guess we gotta contact skunk2 themselves.

 

I have not heard of any recall on the *****, but i know that a few of their short shifters went out with bad threading where the **** would go on. But the customer service at skunk2/group A is ! if you go there with your car they will rethread the shifter for you on the spot and even vaccuum up the mess to clean up after themselves. great place and great people.

 

ill probably give them a call. too bad they moved. the shop used to be near my old apartment in hayward. if you give them a call before me, let me know what they say about it.
