rattle on cold start.
I get a slight tap... maybe two or three taps when i do a cold start in my 94 integra vti-r (GSR). the tapping is not very noticable... as it is for such a short time. and is gone completely after about 2 seconds. the car drives beautifully still.
got 74,000km on it... 50,000 odd miles i guess.
it's completely bog standard.
not sure if it is a sign of something terminal or whether it is a b18c2 trait.
please, any advice is welcome.
thanx.

Probably is just taking a second for your oil to flow to the top of the engine. If the tapping is coming from just inside the vavle cover, then you probably need a vavle adjustment. What is an Integra VTi-R, never heard of that?

You're lucky you don't live in Wisconsin. When winter season comes, Integra's start making all sorts of odd noises throughout the car. You'll hear rattles coming from the dash, then you'll hear another noise coming from the back of your car. Cold season really sucks.
thanx people... i thought it might just be due to a lack of oil on a cold start.
yeah the squeaking around the boot is damn annoying.
and finally... vti-r is what australian delivered GSR's are called...
b18c2 equipped *honda* integra.
