Default radiator hose problem? ? ?

so i was driving home and i see smoke coming out from under my hood....at first i think tha worst thing possible, my engines f*ucked......so i pull over and look and i see theres a rip in the radiator hose...so i go buy a new one put it on and fill it up with coolant and then like five minutes into driving the thermostat jus starts goin up pretty fast to the red...so i pull over again.....call AAA....and tow it home...im guessing that no coolant is getting to the engine...but can anyone tell me what this might be? and how can i fix it?

It just sounds like you need to burp the system. Basically you have an air bubble at your thermostat that is causing it to over heat. Turn on your heat full blast and take off the radiator cap and let it run in your garage/driveway. Keep an eye on your temp gauge too so that it does not over heat. Bliping the throttle will also help to get the air pocket out while you are letting it run.

so if i jus let it sit with the heat on full blast, the car should cool down by itself. ? ?

Basically you need to open the heater valve so that you get good circulation of coolant through all the passages, just in case there is an air pocket there too. The main goal of all this is to get the air pocket out of the coolant passages. You will see coolant bubbling out of the radiator if you follow the procedure I wrote above. This is just the air escaping the system.
