a header is a waste of money on a stock motor. if u want the most bang for the buck go n2o.

id like to disagree with the above statement. i dont think its a watse at all. how else are you going to build up your motor. if you keep telling yourself that its a waste to put things on a stock motor your always just gonna have a stock motor... not all of us have money to throw away on n2o and the problems it could bring...

IMO it is but thats whats so cool about fixing up your car....you can do whatever you want. In my experience in modifiying my car I saw the cost of an intake 100+
Header 300+ exhaust 400+ thats a estimated total of 800+. The realistic gains on a motor to the wheels would be 15-25hp peak and some improvements along the power band. N2O wet system brand new is around 500 bucks and with a stock motor you can run up to a 75shot. No exhaust no header no intake needed. 75hp simple as that. Extra stuff u might need : spark plugs + fuel pump + FPG total= 200+. Still cheaper for the power. As far as problems just make sure ur motor is in good health, u install it properly and dont squeez for more than 15 seconds and you'll be fine. All I can say is I speak from experience. Personally the I/H/E would be the last thing to put on a vehicle. Dang I talk to much....whatever u do man dont cut corners do things right the first time so you will only have to do them once.

-to answer the ? orginal poster what kind of motor is in your car?

do you really think thats wheels hp? go get a 75 shot, put it on a stock motor and see how many whp you gain.. yes it will be more than the i/h/e combo. but a bottle is 30 bux if not more to fill up every time.. 10 trips and thats 300... the best bang for the buck is a turbo now days
