I'm putting cams in, and now when I try to rotate the timing belt it won't budge at all. If I pull at it too hard it will just loosen off the bolt connecting the gear to the cam. What is the cause of this?

edit- I don't have the spark plugs out.. would taking those out make it a lot easier?

Ok took the spark plugs out and it still won't turn...

 

It'd be great if someone could help.. kind of a dilemna..

 

Try removing your distributor and than turn it.
If it goes now, turn the distributor key 180 degrees than put the distributor back on.
