Default quick question about DA LS performance

Ok.. So i am now the proud owner of a 92 Integra LS.. 5 spd, black, sweet..

but yeah.. i have been in a few of these before, some stock, a few not, and none of the stock ones were as fast as mine is.. i dont get it.. there are NO mods that I can see at all.. Its loud (not bad, but really nice loud) and alot faster than what I remember driving..

What are these supposed to hit 1/4 mile for stock 5 spd... and yes.. i checked.. its the stock b18a in there

definently not that fast of a quarter mile time, so the motor is all stock, did you check the tranny, maybe it isnt stock

no.. im going to check it on my lunch.. i mean, this thing sounds and feels like a mid-low 15 sec ride.. i have had a few.. yes i know, a butt dyno doesnt mean shi+, but damn.. 130 hp shouldnt sound/feel like this..

I could imagine these things only hit a 16 or something stock right?

the 92's were rated at 10 more horsepower than the 90-91's mine is real slow and its a b18b1...

yeah.. mine is totally NOT slow.. i have been in DC2 and DA LS/GS/RS.. NONE of the stock ones were like this.. maybe i got cams or some shi+.. hahaha..

whats the stock compression (from a compression test) for these motors? im going to compression test it and see if its got higher compression or something.. its sounds sooooo rude.. i mean, like, ALOT more power.. this thing would whoop up my old focus, and that hit low 15's...

lucky me, i guess.. lol

You know, thanks to gearing and torque band, and quite probably a weight difference, my 2000 GSR sure feels slower around town than my 91 LS 5-speed.

Of course, when I get off public streets and allow the GSR into its high RPM powerband, its obvious which is actually faster.

Enjoy the 92 LS. They're good cars. If you still think its more powerful than it should be, either get it on a dyno to know for sure what it is or isn't making or go hit the strip and see what you can do with it.

you can make a good amount of power out of a b20vtec setup, but if your ls is so healthy why would you take it out

for sure.. i see alot of cats at the track with a stock b20vtec setup (stock block, stock gsr head), with i/h/e, and they are hitting mid to low 13's in their hatches, so i could imagine in the DA i would be FLOOOOOATIN.. lol

And since you list California as your location, do keep in mind that you'll never get through smog with a B20, much less a B20vtec...

Something to keep in mind anyway.

Dont worry too much about that, there is always a way around smog, so many people here have illegal motors/setups and still daily drive

Maybe it has a swap already, or maybe your just a better driver now..

1/4 time with a stock B18 would be about 16 seconds give or take, Most likely take..
