im looking to buy a catback exhaust....i got a 2000 gsr...i heard that a 99 gsr exhaust is different than a 2000 is this true??? and i also hear that a LS exhaust will fit my 2000??? is this also true....help me out guys...thanks

 

ls and gsr cats are different size. so i would get it for a gsr.

 

LS 94-01
GSR 00-01
Type R 97-01
are all the same size

so to answer your questions....

YES an LS exhaust will fit your 2000 GSR

YES a 1999 GSR exhaust is different than a 2000 or 2001 GSR exhaust

i had a gsr cat back on my ls and it had to be cut shorter.

 

you probably had a 94-99 GSR exhaust, which is 4" longer than the others.

 

I got an apexi WS2 on my gs-r and it sounds real good. It's quiet till u step on it and it is a deep growl. not a loud annoying pitch you get from alot of exhausts. i get many compliments from people. Real nice and not expensive. For me it came down to the WS2 and the rs-r exmag.
