I'd think that unless you drove through a bunch of water in the snow you should be okay. Just drive with caution anyway. Use common sense when driving in the snow or wet conditions. I hydrolocked in a flood of water that rushed up over the front of my hood. But with snow being more dense than water you shouldn't be as prone to locking. But again, use common sense and be careful.
Yeah that's what I was thinking too, with the snow being more dense it shouldn't be a problem. Obviously I'll drive with caution, I mean i'm afraid to go through a puddle 2 inches deep, cuz my car only sits about that off the ground. But my main worry is that I live on a road that when it snows it doesn't get plowed for a couple days, and when it snows 6, 7, to 10 inches i'll be plowing snow with the front end of my car. Just want to make sure that won't be a problem. I'm not worried about the front of my car, i'm just worried about my intake sucking in some snow. I'd love to call into work everytime it snows and not leave until the roads get plowed, but that's not really all that realistic. Any other thoughts or experience with CAI's and snowy day's would be great. I'd hate to freeze my motor up when i'm still paying on it, especially if it could be prevented.
thanks
thanks
That's an option I am considering, and pretty much also the purpose for this thread. If I hear of peep's having problems with the CAI's that's what i'm going to do, if not i'm going to save my $$ and get something else.
