as soon as i crossed 73k on my gizzer, whenever i start the car up, the CEL blinks like 10 times then goes away. does this mean i need to go in for maintenance? if not, how long before the CEL remains on?

You must be talking about the maint. req. light. Cause the CEL wont blink until you jump it under your passenger side plug. Might be an oil change or something. Check your manual for regular maint.

 

yeah, you must be confusing the maint. light with the cel.

The button is under the streering wheel..hold it down and it will go away..HTH

 

sorry about the confusion. i meant the maintenance light. i did an oil change about 1200 miles prior (by myself with 10W-30) so i dont think it should be the oil. when i go home, ill check the oil level and see. any other possible ideas?

 

and btw, i dont have the car manual with me

its the maintanence light rite..its just tellin you that you need to come in for servicing... probably your 75k.. honda programmed your car to do it every 15k i think... so ya.. theres a lil button you push under the dash on the driver side.. feel around for it.. just hold it down while your car is on.. and it should stop..
