Default Quick Brake Question

I've got a 97 gsr. My front pass side brake started making a grinding noise. (Even when the brakes aren't being applied.) So I pulled the wheel off and the rotor is pretty hard to turn. There's also a score or wear ring around the outside of the rotor where it looks like metal to metal contact. Do I just need new brake pads or is my caliper fawked?

uhhh how about checking how much brake pad material you have left by looking at the lil hole in the caliper? Let us know. sounds like you will need new pads and a new rotor regardless of what is causing the problem.

your probably down to your wear indicator (which is making the screeching noise regardless of brake application or not)... as for the rotor its hard to say w/o looking at it and measuring its thickness... is your caliper stuck?
