I have a 92 DA. the ac compressor just broke..i want to just cut the belt, but i need to know if it is connected to anything else. im going on a trip tonight, so i sorta gotta get this settled soon. i dont want to have a very annoying metal scraping sound when im travelling. thanks

Yup, cutting it won't harm it. Just that once you fix your AC, you will need to buy a new belt of course

 

why not just leave it on?
