i have a 94 gsr today i get in the car and i turn it on right after i turn the car on i put the AC on the rpms drop to about 200 and the car acts like its going to shut off so i rev it up and the car goes back to regular idle what could be the problem.

 

adjust the idle a bit

 

its normal, the a/c systems in tegs drains the engine. dont adjust the idle, leave it.

 

so ur trying to say when the idle drops to 200 and the car almost shuts off is normal... i know the car is idling fine so i dont think i need to adjust it...

 

yeh the ac is just draining power when it comes on

 

I've got a '95 GS-R and it doesn't do that. It probably drops 50 & recovers quickly. It doesn't stay low while the compressor is running.

The ECM knows when the AC clutch engages. It knows when the electrical load changes (ELD). So it opens the IACV to hold a steady idle. Check & clean your IAC valve.
