Default A question about VAFC

My car is a 99 GSR and is currently running on VAFC. I am running a bit rich and am not able to pass emissions. Emissions allowed is 1.2000 I got 1.6xxx today.

Anyways, my VAFC screen is broken, and I would like to buy a new one. I am curious, is there a way to transfer data from one VAFC to another? (I would like to lean out my car but am not able to do so being that I can not see the VAFC screen.)

Thanks for any and all help.

Why don't you just remove it, and run the car on the factory tune to pass smog?

That's what I plan to do, I'm not going to run the VAFC anymore.

I was told all I have to do is unplug the VAFC from the ECU harness. True?

The car is not stock, it has LS crank/rods and ITR pistons, DC 4-2-1 header ITR stock airbox and ITR catback. Eventually I'll get a tune.

you can't just unplug the vafc from the harness.
the map (pressure) wire needs to be reconnected

is that all that needs to be plugged back in? just the MAP sensor?
