Question about throttle cable
Does the GSR from the factory have a throttle cable that is somewhat loose? I have noticed that compared to my friend's GSR, my throttle response is very slow compared to his. He had his tightened.
When i floor it on my car, it displays 89.2% on my vafc for throttle position. But I had my brother go in the car when the car was on the "ignition on" position and i manually opened the throttle body. It said 100%. I had my brother floor it and it said 89.2% again. Is it easy to tighten the throttle cable? Can this also be used to adjust your idle? If so, would it be a good idea to have my car adjusted about 0.2% throttle when not pushing the pedal? My reason for asking is because i have toda spec B's, and alot of times whenever i make a complete stop, my rpm drops to 500 and comes back up.

have your bro get in the car(off at this point) and push it to the floor. then tighten the cable till its like a hair away from the stop. you dont want to go too far or you'll strech the cable. if you need to figure out how to adjust it let me know. i might be able to scan a pic for you to help better understand the proccess. you want you throttle to be closed 100% at idle. you have a idle control valve that lets air in during idle. just get that cable nice and tight and you'll be all set
Oh i see, thanks! If you could scan a picture of which bolt i need to tighten to make my throttle cable tighter, that'd be great. If not i can try to get my friend to do it for me. Do you think i'd notice a difference between 89.2% throttle and 100% throttle?
where it ataches to the gas pettle put a spacer or 2 between the rubber stopper and the pettle that will help you with your problem you will only need a small spacer to fix the problem
