question about open header
ive read about people running open headers at tracks. I tried running open header and my cars felt a hell of alot slower. Is it just me or does this actually make u slow as hell.

Open header makes top end power which is what you use drag racing, it will pickup on the street much slower though and be loud and it's dumb but that does'nt apply at the race track.

It might make you slower. The total length of the exhaust might be emphasizing the wrong range of rpm's.
Try dyno-tuning with various lengths of race pipes to determine the length most appropriate for your powerband.
I'll post up my results later on the spring when we have a dyno day.
