Default question about the n1

hey i got the n1 muffler and my friend has the exact same one on his gs eclipse...and his is a lot louder....i was wondering why mine is so much quieter?? he said his took about 1.5 weeks to fully break in and be loud? is that true does it take about 1.5 weeks to have your exhaust sound fully be tuned? thanks

I have the N1 on my gsr, it never really got louder after a couple weeks. There could be many reasons why his is louder....first the eclipse has a larger displacement engine, he could be an aftermarket header, using a resonator, etc.

Don't worry about the sound, it's no big deal as long as you like it. Just make sure you got an actual Apex N1 and not some cheap aftermarket exhaust and you'll be fine. BTW, I love N1's!

LIKES- Its loud, best looking exhaust, power gain noticed, fits well, good quality.

DISLIKES- Its really loud, sits too low to the ground, scrapes too much, really really loud, brings to much attention to cops.

Overall I like it

I've had my ApexiN1 on my GSR for a year now and I must say it is frikkin awesome ... with the silencer on its not too loud at all, but take off the silencer and you WILL hear it (especially when vtec hits ). Oh yeah and the angled tip looks sweet.

Just give it a little time. Mine got quite a bit louder after a few weeks. When I first started the car up after install I didn't think it was loud at all. Now it's loud

If you really want it to be loud, get a high flow cat also. Mine even got louder after the high flow cat Oh well...

also put a test pipe on w/ a N1 and it gets louder even w/ silencer.

i want to get rid of my N1 as soon once i find a nice OE ITR exhaust complete.
i want the quiet stock look.

N1 big? Yup it's big, but try comparing that to a Dunk (what I have). You'll learn and realize what big is then...
