Default question about b18c1 compression

does anyone know what the compression on my b18c1 should be, i just bought a cornwell compression tester kit and checked it on my unistall b18c1 and it read about 240 psi on all four cylinders, and i was told the engine had about 110k, i just wanted to know how a healthy b18c1 should read
thanks for any info

should be around 200. the rule of thumb is no more then %10 less or more then 200.

i just read that the haynes manual says that

"the cylinder pressure must not exceed 270psi or be any lower than 135psi.
there must not be any variation greater than 28psi between any cylinders."

im guessin this is when the engine is warm. but since the engine is not on the car yet, should the temp have any effect on the test, if so how?

For a stock b18c1 I would expect to see 200-270 psi on each cylinder doing a compression test on a cold engine. More importantly seeing no more then a 15-20 psi discrepency between cylinders. Instructions on how to do a compression test here at c-speed racing

yeah mine was 235-235-235-238 so urs sounds about right. the guy told me mine had 90k on it but i doubt it. u dont see too many 14 year old usdm motors with that type of mileage... doesnt matter to me too much tho, as long as the compression is good

well my compression results came up to be at 150,180,180,154. Could the two of the cylinder be low due to my valves ticking?

do a valve adjustment directions here @ c-speed racing
then do the compression test again.

My gsr is 215,210,215,215. Original motor. The motor should be warm when you do a compression test. From what I have read a cold motor will show higher numbers. Mine has 231k mls
