For some reason..my car pulls to the right..

I currently have Tein SS coilovers and Ingalls Camber kit on a 94 Integra LS

my car is lowered only .5 inches lower than stock, and I just had a alignment and camber adjustment done to the car.

Its not the tire pressure because it was adjusted at the alignment shop.

My car was pulling to the right even before the alignment and camber adjustment.

And all 4 tires are brand new, 215/17/40z Dunlop SP sport, purchased at time of alignment

what else can this be? I just need to identify whatever parts can be the problem so my uncle can repair it.. he can't seem to find anything wrong..and hes a mechanic by trade.

cliff notes: car pulls right despite perfect alignment and camber adjustment, perfect tire pressure, new tires..

 

Can't really think of anything, so here's an up for you.

Here are some stupid thoughts in my head that might mean something....

You are aware that in the USA, most all roads are constructed so that the car will drift to the right somewhat. It's safer (in case you fall asleep) and also for water runoff.

Also, was the car ever in an accident where the frame was damaged? That could be it as well.

 

maybe a mis-alignment of the axles my frineds car does that also.. its kinda anoying i can't like let go of the wheel for even a sec i would have to hold it to straighten it out

How the heck do you misalign an axle? It only goes in one way. Even if it's not fully in, it'll pop out. Still won't mess up the steering of the car in any way. Oh well.

haha i don't think i ment to say axle.. maybe misalign steering wheel? iono.. but i have the same prop. so if you figure it out. holla.

 

my car was bought brand new back in 94.... so no.. its never been in an accident.

I dunno.. might be the tie rods.. if all else fails.. I'll just go get *** rammed by the Acura dealer technicians..hopefully they can solve the problem

Swap the front left and front right tires. Did they give you a printout of the numbers from when they did an alignment?

Also, did you do a 4 wheel or 2 wheel? If you only did 2 there is a chance the rear is off and causing the car to pull a little.

 

same thing was happening to me, brought it to the dealership and turned out to be a bent control arm. . .

btw how much is it to replace say a control arm ? at the dealership?

 

have u checked and made sure that ur coilovers are even my car was pulling to the right couple of days ago till i adjusted my coilovers

 

I got a used control arm from a junk yard, check that first, like a pick and pull or call around.

 

What is your camber specs AFTER the alignment was done?

 

first of all, how long ago did you install the teins? are you sure the car is sitting level? did you get a print out of the alignment specs, before and after? what were they. Is there any damage to your wheels? maybe its a tire pull. try rotating the tires before you change the LCA. even though they are new, the tires could still be defective.

 

bump thanks guys..lemme check those coilovers, I did raise them back up after the alignment and camber adjustment..

Now you just completely changed the alignment.

ANYTIME you SLIGHTLY move the coilovers up or down, you ruin the alignment.

Make sure car is level, align rear, re-align front.

Was it pulling BEFORE the suspension install?

the tie rods wouldnt make it constantly pull to one side. it would only pull (either way) on unlevel road.

yea why would you get an alignment and THEN adjust your coils?

 

Just so you know, tie rod ends (which adjust the front toe) don't cause a pull in most situation. they would only cause the steering wheel not to be centered.

ex:
If when your steering wheel is centered, and the left toe is 0.00, and the right toe is 0.50. Then when driving down a flat road and you let go of the wheel, the left and right side would counter each other and find an equal setting. such as 0.25 for the left, and 0.25 for the right. when the wheels centered them selves in this way, it would cause the steering wheel to be off to the right a bit from center. Although the car might be rolling strait now, this would eat up the tires.
