hey all this is my first post/topic...

I was goin back to the dorms and on my way up, about 1/2 hour into my trip, the speedo just dies, along with the odometer. I didn't really think much of it because I figured it was a fuse/loos wire. But when i got off the exit an engine check light popped on. so i was only 5 minutes to the dorms so i decided to just drive there and park. I got there and when i parked the idle was all retarded and the light was still on.

I don't have any tools at college and there really isn't much space to work with anywhere along the side of the street. I have not had any ECL's before this one, so I am a little inexperienced when it comes to reading the ECU.

If anybody has any experience with this...plz reply.

I have a '92 teg gsr w/jdm itr motor. I am running the B17 ecu (obd1) reprogramed by skunk2. I don't know if this helps any. I don't know whether or not I need any special equipment to check it. I have the list of codes, I just need to know how to read the ecu.
