PROBLEM SOLVED!!!!!!
OK, for the past like month or so, I've been posting on here tryign to figure out my grinding sound on my car. I knew i had to get a mount in there, cuz the other one was shot to hell, so i figured. Hmm. .maybe its cuz the engine is hanging lower or something, and its putting added stress on the axles, which is making that noise. Well, it was kinda far fetched, AND it wasn't true. I put the mount in, still hear the sound. So i'm like DAMMMIIIIITTTT!!!! I go for a drive, roll up my windows, and begin trying to figure out the sound. Now, while my car is making that circular grinding sound, i'm also hearing a woowoowoowowoowoo spinning sound. I always assummed they were related. Until yesterday, when I finally noticed it was from the rear. My tires were cupping on the inside, making all that noise. when I took them off the car, they couldn't even roll without going left-right-left-right-left-right. So I'm like oh crap. If that was all that it was, and that was keeping me out of my car for like amonth, i'll be pissed. So i drive around, and the woowoowoo is gone, but the grinding is still there. It was definitely the front right side. So, I come back home, jack up the car, and before I do anything, I notice something SOOO STUPID. I have greenstuff brake pads, and I guess by some bonehead *** mistake, I put them shims on them when I installed them. So, I took the brakes apart, took off the shims, and put everything back together. OH, and the discs were fine too. .no warping or anything. But yeah, took the shims off, and drove around, NO SOUND!!! I was soo happy, but now i gotta get some new tires on the back of my car. I also gotta fix the camber withthe washers. I have the washers just sitting here, when i get the new tires, i'll do it. WAHOOO!!!!!!
I love the greenstuff. . my braking is sooooo quick. Only noise i had was the one i was having now, but i already solved that. WHen i need new brakes, I'm going with greenstuff. My bro has some on his CRX and his cars brake response is so much faster too. .It was just installation error on my part. SOOO STUPIDD!!!!
