I have an OBD2 JDM GSR. The problem that I am having is that my TB is much like an USMD OBD1 TB. It has the FITV underneath it with a coolant line going in and out of it. I want to upgrade to a Skunk2 IM and a new TB.

I am not sure what to do with the FITV.

Does it stay on the new TB?
Do I buy an OBD1 TB?

LOL I know. But i gotta ask these questions before so I know what to do with the FITV and lines....

 

Just eliminate it and join the cooling lines together.

 

If you get a TB w/o the FITV, you will have to bypass the coolant lines

So when putting on the new S2 manifold, move the IAVC over to the S2 and run the coolant line from there to the other coolant line by the upper radiator hose?

 

Are these your first mods? If so, I would suggest getting cams before IM and a TB
