Those little bends in the pleats...yeah. Are they a problem? I just took off the filter to clean it (not that it needs it ) and noticed them...

All replies are appreciated!

All right, all right already...

I'm cleaning it even as we speak. It's only been on for a year and a half, believe it or not (maybe 30k miles). Of course, it did take a trip down some dirt access roads with me.

All K&N filters and those of that style I have seen do that, it's no biggie.

Sweet, I hoped it wouldn't be.

Meh, those cost money. I might replace it with AEM's update (the filter they developed for the v1 CAI towards the end of its product cycle). Supposedly it's good for a horse or two.

Mmm, clean filter. Ready to be reinstalled and taken to the butt dyno.

The kinks themselves don't do any harm, but look closely for holes where the kinks are. Holes would be bad...

No holes that I saw, so I should be good to go.
