im about to be a new proud owner of a teg. the guy says the a/c works all i have to do is put the pulleys on. how hard is this to do?

Dont get haynes get a helms manual its what the service techs use so you know it will be right. Cant say the same for haynes...

Have you looked through a Haynes manual, or are you just repeating heresay?
I think it's a good idea to have both the Helms manual AND something like a Haynes. Take for instance the process of flushing your cooling system. Helms does not have that procedure in the book. It only lists draining and refilling the coolant. The Haynes, on the other hand, goes into detail about flushing, how you're supposed to set the heater temp slider to Hot, put a garden hose in the radiator to flush it out, etc.
