sweet.

progress 'pics' would mean pics in a progression from beginning to end, and pics as in plural.

The headers and turbo look sweet! What are you using for fuel management?

That intercooler is a bit small for your turbo. IMO. It will be heat soaked after a couple of runs even though it is front mounted. You can combat heat soak by running a tee off the windshield washer fluid line and installing a sprayer directed at the intercooler.

yeah i know it is small i thought it was going to be bigger but at the drags we can spray nitrous or co2 on our intercoolers.......and as for the fuel management im running msd 400cc injectors and a 12:1 vortec fmu

im sure if he bought a EBAY manifold/turbo kit his intentions arnt to high

lets make bets on what happens first:
turbo falls hanging by oillines
waste falls off
turbo housing cracks
or the BOV explode...and yes it HAS happened lol

...the fact remains that it's a low quality manifold and you're running an FMU...I hate to break it to ya, but don't expect the whole deal to last very long buddy.

it's usually a good idea to read up and learn about doing something to your car that will be adding a lot of horsepower instead of just buying a cheap egay kit, throwing it on, and calling it a day.

thats the same thing i said, hey im only pushing 7psi on stock interals, My wastegate flew off, and my manifold cracked in abour 7 different places. Get some Full Race of Inline pro manifold get a tail wastegate, get a garret or precision turbo, anything is better than ebay.

an FMU is a cheap, low-quality, inefficient replacement for actually tuning the ECU...basically, it raises the fuel pressure based on vacuum instead of doing it the right way and making changes to the fuel curve based on rpm, injector size, boost level, keeping the a/f at stoich., etc etc, all of which are done if you tune your ECU.

one of the problems of FMUs is that very frequently the fuel pressures it forces are extremely (and needlessly) high, not only causing a lot of stress on the fuel lines/fittings and the pump, but it also could cause your engine to run really rich or really lean. FMUs are purely mechanical and don't take anything in your personal setup into account. they just jack up the fuel pressure.

bad bad bad bad bad idea. a little bit of research would have shown this and a LOT more information about how terrible FMUs are.

again, the bottom line: get a real manifold and get your ecu properly dyno tuned. a couple hundred bucks now can (and likely will) save a couple grand for when your engine grenades, possibly along with some other parts.
