Default PR4 to a P75

Hi all !!

I got a 90 Integra with a b18b1 in it. (supposedly outa a 95).

I wanted to chip it to raise the rev limiter and bump the performance a bit.

It has a pr4 ecu and I just learned I can't chip it. My bad.

My question is.... can I get a p75 ecu and do a straight ecu swap?

Is there a better idea out there than a p75 swap without spending a bunch of cash??

Thanks for your time !

SMFH you think that rev limiter is there to hinder performance? that limiter is there so you don't spin your rod bearings/cause other damage. Either way "chipped" ecus aren't meant to go beating the **** out of it on the street, that's not the main point it HAS to be an obd1 ECU for it to be 'chipped" it could be a p72 or a p28 once it's chipped it doesn't matter.

No. To use an obd1 ecu, you'll have to convert to obd1.

Fyi, this car is race only and I need to bump the limiter for a particular track. If I was worried about rod bearings, I wouldnt be racing.
Thanks

Then say that in your OP... if some kid comes along and sees people saying it's ok to set your stock rev limiter well above stock with no repercussions that defats the purpose of a help forum. How TF would I know it's a "race car"(dirt track) when you don't mention it, the amount of kids that ask this exact question except want to hit madd vtak in their daily is sad so yes my answer is 100% correct it just doesn't apply to your application.

Yea if i had a dollar for every stock engine that threw a rod bearing after the chipped ecu swap! they think just cause the ecu has been adjusted for a higher rev, vtec and fuel its ok to to bring it to 9500 now then ...

OP why dont you get the engine fully tuned instead of a base map/chiped ecu?

B16B 10K rpm minimum bro, when I first got my civic(before I joined) I waned a b16b so bad just to spin to 10K and was reading all these posts on how to set your ecu to do so lmao. FFS at least I looked and read didn't post dumb questions, it's a dirt track racer thus he doesn't car about massive dents/thrown rods etc surly you've seen DTC cars.
