just wondering pr3 are US integra type R pistons correct? because a guy was trying to sell me pistons that had the pr3 stamp, but he was insisting that they were civic type R pistons. what are CTR pistons stamped with?

no ITR are P73
ctr are PCT
b16a 1st gen jdm and 99 usdm si are pr3
b16a 2nd+3rd gen i think are P30

oh by the way what are the compression differences between b16a pistons and b16b's? which is higher?

 

I can't tell you sure but PR3 pistons will increase your comp/ratio more than ITR and JDM ITR.
In a GSR it is somewhere around 11.5-11.8 for the PR3 pistons.

 

possibly a little less but you are in the ball park
