i have a power antenna motor...but it doesn't have the mast. I got it for my car since my antenna made sick noises when it tried going up adn down...but then I just lowered the antenna completley and kiled the power to the motor...so I dont need it no more
Not to doubt you.... but are you sure its the motor? Those things are pretty bullet proof. Most of the time the mast cable will break off in them and cause them to make a bad noise......even if you remove the mast itself. If it were me, I would remove the mast {if you already havent}, pull off the body cover, and remove the motor. It's very simple. There are 3 or 4 bolts on the side of the motor that hold a white cover on. Remove them and be sure that a piece of the mast hasn't become jammed in the motor just to be sure before you replace it or whatever. I used to work at a delership and this was the case alot of the times. Good luck.
Also be sure the mast just isn't a little bent. Even if it is a little bent where you can't hardly see it....it will still make that popping noise..Just try to straighten it and spray it with wd-40 or something. Hope this helps

You can pick up an entire antenna unit (motor, mast, etc) for anywhere from $15 to $30 bucks, so you're better off just getting another unit rather than wasting time messing with the broken one you have.

haha, yeah the s2000 conversion is another way to go, and at least you won't have to deal with the retractable antenna freezing on you up there or breaking again.
